Ryan Seacrest Reportedly Will Sign ‘Multi-Million Dollar’ American Idol Deal — But It’s Not Even The Biggest Money On The Show!

Good for Ryan Seacrest… better for Katy Perry. The longtime host who got his own pop culture start on the original version of American Idol is reportedly all set to be back with the show for its second go-round, according to media reports in TMZ. Related: Oops! Not Great, Ryan… Seacrest’s deal is very, very rich, but it’s certainly not as good as what Perry got: $ 25 million to appear as a judge on the re-boot of the show. ABC sources spoke to TMZ, claiming that Seacrest wanted $ 15 million, the company wanted to pay $ 10 million, and they met somewhere in the middle. So, probably quite literally HALF of what Perry is making to judge. It’s a fine payday for Seacrest, though. Reportedly, because American Idol is paying out SO much money to these two, the other two yet-to-be-named hosts are going to have to come cheap.
