LONDON — Just when we thought there were no original ways left to propose, someone in the UK has discovered a novel, and incredibly geeky, way to pop the question.

Computer scientist and author Sue Black’s fiancé Paul sent her an encrypted proposal on Feb. 29. It read:
It sounds like nonsense, but run through a decryption machine it comes out as “Will you marry me,” according to the screenshot Sue tweeted along with the hashtag #enigmaweddingproposal Tuesday.
Thankfully, Sue didn’t need to spend hours decoding the message. A simple click and she knew what Paul was after. She said yes, of course. Read more…
